Open Alumni Board Positions
WE ARE looking for passionate Penn Staters to join our Board!
If you’ve been wondering how you could get more involved with the OLDEST and LARGEST Chapter in the Penn State Alumni Association, now is your chance! We currently have some openings on our Board of Directors and are accepting applications. We will review submitted applications and schedule interviews in the days following.
TREASURER
Are you a passionate Penn Stater with a knack for numbers? If you work in finance or have experience managing funds for large organizations, you could be our next Treasurer!
We’re looking for someone who will:
- Cash & deposit checks and issue prompt payments as needed
- Maintain accurate & detailed financial records
- File taxes annually
- Help create an annual budget
- Attend monthly Board meetings
- Make a meaningful effort to maintain communication & participation
Director of Community Service & Engagement
Do you want to share your Blue & White spirit with your local community? If you work in a non-profit role or have experience working with your community, you could be our new Director of Community Service & Engagement!
We are looking for someone who will:
- Coordinate Chapter fundraisers/service projects
- Coordinate at least one non-PSU Community Service Project per year
- Oversee THON fundraising efforts
- Establish & maintain relationships with local non-profits
- Attend monthly Board meetings
- Make a meaningful effort to maintain communication & participation
Director of University Advocacy
Are you a proud Penn Stater committed to growing our Pride? If you work in fundraising, event planning, or marketing you could be our new Director of University Advocacy!
We are looking for someone who will:
- Oversee fundraising for our endowed scholarship and program endowment
- Help us support events at the Greater Allegheny campus as needed
- Promote PSAA membership and encourage new members to join
- Act as Chapter Liaison with PSAA/UP
- Oversee membership-focused events like Senior Sendoff and New Grad events
- Attend monthly Board meetings
- Make a meaningful effort to maintain communication & participation
Director at Large
As a Director at Large, you would attend meetings and events, engage in thoughtful discussion, and help out wherever you may be needed without a specific assignment.
General Volunteers
Want to get more involved but don’t want to commit to a Board position? General volunteers are welcome to help out at any time, at any level, to make your experience exactly what you want it to be.
