Since 2008, our THON Alumni Committee (formerly known as Pittsburgh DMAIG) has raised nearly $150,000 for THON and the Four Diamonds Fund. The Greater Pittsburgh Chapter is proud to support this dedicated group of Alumni in the Pittsburgh area as they continue in their commitment to fighting pediatric cancer.

Fundraising events throughout the year keep THON's mission alive and well while forming lasting relationships with Pittsburgh-area Alumni and businesses. Past events include:

• Spinning For A Cure with Steel Revolution Cycling Studio
• THON Weekend Kickoff Celebrations at Threadbare Cider House and Wigle Whiskey
• A Virtual Mixology session with DiAnnoia's Eatery
• Goat Yoga at Tiny Trax Farm

Their annual Blue White Ball: 4 Diamonds, 3 Rivers, 1 Dream has become Pittsburgh's premier THON fundraising event, providing doctors, patients, and families at the Penn State Children’s Hospital in Hershey, PA with hope for a cure. Every spring, they host a spectacular evening in the spirit of the Penn State Dance Marathon featuring raffles, an extensive silent auction, featured guest speakers including THON Families, representatives from Four Diamonds and the Penn State Alumni Association, and other well-known friends. The Ball has been hosted by some of Pittsburgh's coolest event spaces such as Heinz Field, J. Verno Studios, The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, and The Grand Hall At The Priory.

The mission of the Four Diamonds Fund is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children and their families through superior care, comprehensive support, and innovative research, and THON has contributed nearly $200 million to the fight to date.
