1If I'm already a member of the Penn State Alumni Association, why do I have to pay to join the Chapter too?

We're a volunteer-led organization, but there are some operating costs that your annual Chapter dues ($15 for an individual, or $20 for a couple) help with.

We do our best to provide great member benefits, like access to networking and Career Services opportunities, information regarding social and community service events, special Members Only pricing and/or seating for Chapter events, and more!

2I love Penn State, but I'm not an Alum. Can I still join your Chapter?

Everyone is welcome! Whether you're a PSU Alum, friend, or family member or you just bleed Blue & White, membership is available to anyone who wants to connect with Penn State in Pittsburgh!

3Do I need to live in Allegheny County to be a member?

WE ARE everywhere!

The Chapter is a great resource to stay up to date on Penn State happenings in Pittsburgh no matter where you live. Keep in mind, though, that our events happen in or around the Pittsburgh area.

4I'd love to attend your events, but they're always so far away. Can you do something closer to where I live?

Our Chapter serves the more than 30,000 Penn State Alumni in Allegheny County. We try to choose event locations that are central to our members, but we realize that some areas may not be convenient for everyone.

We're always looking for new places to visit, so if there's somewhere in your area that you think we should check out, send details to psupgh@yahoo.com and we'll be happy to consider it!

5I want to join, but I'm not comfortable submitting an online payment. What should I do?

We utilize Square's secure payment platform for our membership, event ticket, and donation transactions and encourage our members to use it comfortably.

6I want to get more involved with the Chapter, but I don't want to commit to a Board position. Are there other options?

We are a 100% volunteer-led organization, and there are ways to get involved at every level! You can help at an event, join one of our committees, or talk to us about special skills or resources you have to offer.
