Since the start of the Pandemic, more than 14,000 blood drives have been cancelled, creating a shortfall of 351,000 donations to date. While many things have changed, the need for blood is still the same. Every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion to help them survive surgery, trauma, recover from cancer treatments or blood disorders. And, Covid-19 antibodies in Convalescent Plasma can help those patients begin the recovery process.
All donations will be tested for COVID antibodies, and you’ll receive instructions on how to get those results. Please visit the link below to schedule an appointment at any Vitalant donor center. This link is specific to our Chapter and helps the Blood Bank track the number of donations from our group.
